: Hi, Justin,

: Is G.pardalis pardalis shy like their northern subspecies? Please tell me something about their personality.

: Thanks.

I don't know of which "Justin" you refer to but I am the one who is selling the southerns on the classifieds. This is what I have gathered from observing many of these both adult and juvinile, I find the southerns to have an entirly unique and different personality than the babcocki. The difference is atounding, they are far more active, outgoing and literally seem scared of nothing. If I had 20 hatchling babcocki in a bin and a 20 hatchling pardalis in the same , and I bent over too have a look at least 50% -75% of the babcocki would retreat into there shells the second they saw me, where the pardalis wouldn't even care or give me a second look(unless they were hungry, almost all will feed straight out of your hand).Personally these are the neatest, friendliest, coolest turtles I have had in my life.
I hoped I helped,
Justin Mitcham
