He's more of a pain in the a** if anything. Always following me around, looking for a hand out. That guy is so spoiled that last night his hut was heated better then MY HOUSE. He gets everything a tort could want, I break my back planting grasses for him and making sure no leaves or pine needles are laying on it (so he doesn't consume them). That guy has it made in the shade, I'm the best butler he could ever pay for. Now if he was mean I would have 75# of tortoise meat in my freezer..lol.

My leopard tortoises are so spoiled, that I offered them some asparagus as a treat the other night, they gave me the finger..lol.

The truth is they will all be fine, healthy and live wonderful lives as long as you love them. I love them with every once of my being and always have, since a child I dreamed of having giant tortoises and when I became an adult I made it happen.

I couldn't think of waking up in the morning and not seeing King Karl poking his head out of his hut, or seeing Aziza waiting for me in the kitchen during the winter waiting for some greens, or having Tiombe walk over my feet 50 times as I do the dishes telling me he wants something to eat. Or during the summer when the Leps are outdoors, and I can whistle to them and they will come from 30 feet away to take a hibiscus leaf from my fingers. Or even yanking Karl out of a 3X2 foot hole he dug in the backyard in an HOUR, or chasing him down in the neighboorhood when he decides it is time to punch a hole in the fence with one of those powerful spurred paws of his and sample the local growth.

Wouldn't trade any of it in for the world:).
