In Reply to: I read this stuff about sulcata's, but??? more....... posted by Barry on December 20, 2001 at 05:24:53:

I dunno Barry, but personally I'm always a bit wary of people offering persistently in forums and online to take large sulcatas...for fear that they really want to breed them. Sometimes people that are too persistent really seem like they have an ulterior motive...not saying that is the case here but sometimes perception dictates behavior.

My organization rehomes a ton of sulcatas all the time. If you are interested in adopting you might want to file an application with us. LInk below.

: I've posted many ads and offers on the classifieds and forums offering to adopt larger sulcata's, but no takers. Everyone wants to sell theirs. If there is soo many, then why hasn't anyone stepped up to the table that wants to find a GOOD home? I have 20 avocado trees, large patio, grassy yard with also LOTS of dirt, enclosed, etc.... Tortoise paradise, yet no offers but I read this about this sulcata explosion... I'm a bit skeptical....
