Get some Opuntia & Opuntia Berries. Chop up berries and smash over finely chopped greens. Skin the cactus, smash and add a little as well.
Be careful with the shots of vitD, it can be toxic, better to get a active uv flood. Are ya soaking the tort in warm water each morning before ya try to feed. Are you sure it has MBD. Is the shell really soft compared to the other one. Did your vet give you licquid calcium?
I lost a tort from Vit D shots because my vet gave A at the same time. That stuff is so toxic if overdosed. I hope your going to a really good herp vet. My tort did not have MBD, my vet was inexperienced with herps.
If you have to force feed: get syringes from vet without needles. If ya make a puree with cactus and greens or baby food or sweet potato. Soak tortoise 20 min in warm water. Then under a warm light with a toothpick, soften the end, and tickle the side of the mouth. They will open up wide.
good luck
