what about veterinarians that have experience with reptiles, regardless of formal training? the vet i work for has been primarily practicing small animal medicine, but has attended conferences and read up on research on developments in reptile medicine. and over the years, he appears to be accumulated sufficient experience and knowledge. the dose he used in preparing the baytril (I think it was either 5 or 7 mg/kg) came from an exotic animal formulary guide (something like that) I know, it comes down to taking chances with your animal's health.
