im serious, he died from eating the rabbit pellets. The vet said the infection was caused by eating mold, or another form of bad bacteria, the only thing that could have been it was the pellets. Im not saying that every tortoise on pellets is going to die, im saying that if there are other safe substitutes, go with something else, JUST IN CASE. Mulch is dirty, its packed in tight and then rained on, then left in the sun, then rained on, then left in the sun, then animals pee on it, then it's left in the sun. I think mulch is much better breeding ground for bacteria than a water dish.
