Our sulcata, Aesop, loves romping about during this extended warm weather, 75 ambient and 90 in the sun. He comes in at night. For the most part, he eats tortoise grazing mix, which we grow outside in his play yard. With a slower schedule, I have spent some time watching him recently (my wife does most of the supervising.) He is adorable and voracious, and about two and a half inches long. I noticed, between feasts of leaves, he'll take a bite or two of dirt. Not mouthfulls, but like he is aiming for something. I am paranoid about impactions, but all of this time his appetite and ability to defecate are both...impressive, shall we say. Should I worry?
Thanks,
Ryan
