hi. i have a nine month old sri lankan star tortoise who's got an increasingly worse respiratory infection. it's been about two weeks since i first noticed the symptoms (he was kept in suboptimal temperatures for a night) I took him to the vet two days later, who put him on Baytril (enrofloxacin) given subcutaneously, every three days. he hates the shots intensely, as they apparently sting, and hasn't been showing much improvement. in fact, he seems to be doing worse. are there any special considerations i should know about when treating a respiratory illness? from what i understand, it should be dry and warm. he still eats rather heartily, but hasn't showed much interest in drinking today. he sleeps alot with his legs splayed out, under the light. and he doesn't move much. at the moment, he's living in a sweater box, about two and half feet long and a foot and a half wide. i'm going to take him to the vet on tuesday (i hate to transport him in this condition) but would like to know if there's anything else i can do. thanks for any help
