A couple redfoot questions

Hello
I help my mom out with keeping a class reptile pet in her class of grade 5's. We've done a few types of lizards which have gone fairly well.
Would a young redfoot work out? It will only be handled by myself when as a class we measure it every week or 2. It won't be passed around, but rather kept in a suitable terrarium.
I'm concerned about the sound more than anything like these kids kept basilisks which stress horribly and the bassies did great.
Would this be too much of a risk in your experienced opinion?
