if you scroll down a little and read the hibernation question click on the hibenation link and it says in their that they are often confused for the same tortois but the are in fact different tortoises with different needs. i always thought that they were the same thing too. after i read that i went and looked up more info in my tortois books and found that they are in fact different tortoises.
