I've read that if you apply fertilizer but then
decide to let your tort on it, you need to wait
until the lawn has been mown at least 3 times and
has had plenty of rainfall in between.
It sounds like it's not your lawn if your not sure
of what's going on with it, and personally if it
was my tortoise Teddy, he would not be grazing on
that lawn period until at least a year had past,
if ever.
