I also would suggest newspaper, its cheap and easy to change, and my Sulcata loves to bury himself in it!

: Hi,
: : I was wondering what some of you for substrate for your sulcatas? I'm hoping to find something that isn't so messy and they won't destroy! To start out with, I had them on newspaper, didn't work too well. Then I bought them "cage carpet" you know, the kind that isn't sapposed to unravel, tare, and animals are sapposed to be unable to eat it, well, that didn't work either! They tore it all to shreds and I even saw them trying to eat it! Now they are on rabbit pellets (alfa alfa), it seems to work ok, but when they get it wet from tracking over it after soaking, it is a real mess and they stay dirty. So, what works for you guys? All info will be greatly appreciated!

: Hi,I use news papers covered with some grass hay for Maggie(three y/o} Works good for us.HAs to be cleaned and completely changed often.
