One recurring thing I am seeing as I research a leopard tortoise is that they are grazers and like/need grasses ion their diet in order to be healthy. I was wondering if hay (perhaps soaked), such a s readily availible timothy and alfalfa hay, would be beneficial (or, I guess, if they would even take any...). Grass will be totally impossible for me to obtain until probably late april (North Dakota), but if he will eat and benefit from soaked hay, that is totally easy.
Any other suggetions would be appreciated. I think I have a good handle on the diet and housing, otherwise.
Thanks in advance
