question about Redfoot's eyes

Lately from time to time, my male redfoot's eyes have been watery. The only way I can explain the watering is it looks like saliva. It appears to have little bubbles in it, appears whitish, and is in the corner of his eyes. After his daily bath it is gone, and I don't notice everyday, only twice. I noticed it a few weeks ago. When I saw it, I gave him a bath, and turned up the heat in his enclosure. That seemed to do the trick, but I noticed it again the other day. The heat is still up in his enclosure, and it went away again after his bath that day. I was curious if I need to be alarmed by this and what might be causing it. I haven't changed his diet, and he has been in this enclosure for the last 4 months. Thanks for your input.
