We all know that you should keep species of tortoises spereate from other species. What about sub-species? In my situation I'm specifically thinking of spider tortoises. They come from the same country. They might live in different areas within that country, but it would seem to me that they would be subject to the same enviroment in general.
Also, can hatchlings of any tortoise species be kept together? If the tortoises are sterile when they hatch from the egg, couldn't they be kept together with out the fear of spreading bacteria and/or disease as you would expect in adults, especially wid caught ones?
I don't practice any of the above notions, nor do I intend to. I thought it would be interesting to get some feedback on it though.
Thanks
Toby
