You guys have always been so helpful before. I have another problem that I'm asking for ideas on. I have 2 Spur Thighs. One 15 in. in diameter and one about 8. I live in NY and have to have them indoors in the cold weather. They have an enclosed pen in my livingroom sided by cinder block. Inside that they have a wood enclosure with lighting and heat. Here's the problem. The larger one(Speedy) has started to try to climb the block. He gets up so far that he tips over backwards and can't right himself. I tried plastic on the inside of the blocks thinking that it might be too slippery for him to climb up. But, I was wrong. Any ideas???? Does anyone just let their Torts roam free if they have a heated enclosure to go to for warmth? I would be willing to do this. I breed parrots and I vacumn frequently. But there still alot of seed that falls on the floor. Will it hurt the Torts to ingest the seed? Thanks for any suggestions.
