I also got a small humidifier, but rarely need to use it, as the humidity guage is usually reading 60-70%. Most people recommend 70% for redfoots. I provide the humidity for ours with a shallow soaking dish, and by misting the plants twice a day. Along with the soakings, that should be enough, unless you live in a drier part of the U.S. Here in the midwest our humidity is higher most of the year.
