Hello :) I just read thru as many posts as I could regarding the Sulcatta, and all has been extremely helpful. After falling in love with them at the pet store, my hubby bought one for me for our anniversary. (We currently own several species of water turtles, an iguanna, rats, cat, dog & a snake) Doozer lives in a 20gal long tank for now, since he's pretty small (3-4inches) and I provide him with light, heat and a soaking dish. I feed him the same things I feed our Iguanna: greens, zucchini, bok choy, with a bit of broccoli & cauliflower. He hasn't been interested in any fruit. After reading the posts, I'm off to the pet store to buy the calcium supplements, too. Now, we tend to keep our house around 68 deg F in the winter months (Wisconsin). While he's heated during the day, should I provide more of a heat source at night? What about live potted plants to munch on? Also, is there anything else anyone can suggest? I appreciate your help, and thanks for the info in the previous posts :)
