Any drafty area is not good for tortoise liek that. Are the drafts coming form the walls, floor, windows, ceiling? Just insulating the walls might not be enough, or the right answer in general. If you need to insulate teh walls, the best thing to do is use Foamular insulation... get it at Home Depot... it comes in a few thicknesses all around 1 inch each and comes in sheets 2 feet wide and 8 feet long. Also it's tongue and groove, so the sheets fit together. You'll need a good sturdy knife and metal straight edge to cut it though (like a heavy duty snap off blade utility knife). If you want this to be permanent, you can use panel adhesive to glue it to the existing walls, and then use the adhesive to glue a regular wall panel system over the top.
: i have a 2 year old sulcata toroise that i recently had to bring inside for the colder months of VA. she is in a room off of our kitchen where our washer/dryer should be if we had one. the enclosure is about 7' x 3'. my question is, it gets a little drafty in there when the wind is blowing outside. is there anyway i can insulate the enclosure? i dont want to use regular insulation because it would be to dusty. any suggestions?? thanks, niki
