You know some people might read that and think you've gone off your rocker... However, I (and probably most of the people here) completely understand (and already do practice it a little) what you just said. Thnaks.. I'll certianly continue to sweet talk her and try to win her over with food. And the outdoors.
: That's almost the size of my indoor enclosure and
: my torts just a tad bigger. I consider the
: indoor enclosure to be just a "holding pen" and
: a place to sleep at night. Mine's really boring
: now because at that size there's not much for
: them to do in that space. It's still gotta be
: safe and easy to clean (yikes!) so there's not
: much in the way of decorations.
: Take your time and be gentle with your tort.
: Pick her up a lot for the GOOD things, going outside,
: pick her up outside several times putting her in
: a nice new spot of grass. Associate yourself with
: good things like food and going outside!
: I don't think soaking is something they love
: too much and you're the bad guy doing it - at least
: with my sulcata. You gotta do it, but I think it
: goes on their "you're off my Christmas list" mentality.
: Food and outside are better! Talk to her a lot
: in a calm voice telling her how pretty she is
: and what a sweet dolly she is!
