That's almost the size of my indoor enclosure and
my torts just a tad bigger. I consider the
indoor enclosure to be just a "holding pen" and
a place to sleep at night. Mine's really boring
now because at that size there's not much for
them to do in that space. It's still gotta be
safe and easy to clean (yikes!) so there's not
much in the way of decorations.
Take your time and be gentle with your tort.
Pick her up a lot for the GOOD things, going outside,
pick her up outside several times putting her in
a nice new spot of grass. Associate yourself with
good things like food and going outside!
I don't think soaking is something they love
too much and you're the bad guy doing it - at least
with my sulcata. You gotta do it, but I think it
goes on their "you're off my Christmas list" mentality.
Food and outside are better! Talk to her a lot
in a calm voice telling her how pretty she is
and what a sweet dolly she is!
