Ok maybe EJ did not read the whole post. I stated that the information I was looking for was a little cloudy.

Yes YOU SHOULD NOT MIX REPTILES.

Now EJ maybe you could give me some info on a substrate for a 20 gallon which I will keep my little fella in until he grows and I can justify putting it out doors. I think putting a 4 inch tortoise outside would be overkill at this stage in his life.

Also thanks to those who did reply with the info I was looking for.

: : My girlfriend has a bearded dragon now, in a 20L tank, with a sand bottom and some various cage furniture. She really wants to get a tortoise of some sort to put in with the beardy. Can anyone suggest a tortoise that is fairly easy to care for and stays pretty small? Thanks
