The fact that your own vet "does not seem to be fond of oral Baytril" is what made you proclaim that injectible is better "hands down"? Not exactly overwhelming evidence. The labeling that I outlined in the other post is exactly that. The method of delivery that the manufacturer outlines. The use of Baytril in any exotic is however "off-label" ie. not FDA approved. The method is not an "opinion" or even necessarily a preference (as far as I know) of Dr. Mader's. The formation of abscesses is widely discussed in the literature and is mentioned by the manufacturers as a potential side-effect.
