Most Baytril in mammals is given orally via tablets. From what I've read, the effectiveness is just as good or nearly as good orally as injected. Baytril is problematic as an injectable. Large amounts can cause local tissue damage and/or necrosis (>1cc at a site). It is no longer recommended that small animals receive more than one or two injections of Baytril - after the first injection the remainder of the series should be given orally.
