I looked at the link also, and it does explain the
dosage as being different for animals of different
weights,that's what the second number in a XXmg/XXkg
is, the weight of the animal in kilograms (1kg=2.2 pounds)
Anyways, if you are using Panacur suspension (100mg/ml)
which tells you the concentration of weight per
volume of Pancur in this dosage, then the
formula is 25mg/kg, given orally once every 2 weeks.
Three treatments.
Or if you prefer pounds it's 10 mg/lb.
So a 2 pound tortoise will get 20 milligrams and
a 10 pound tortoise will get 100 milligrams. That'd
be their doses for each of the three treatments.
Usually it's administered to tortoises by mixing it
with their feed.
What you need to be SURE of is the concentration
of the Panacur that it is INDEED - 100mg/ml and
not some elephant panacur concentration!!!
