Yes, I want to agree with EJs point of leaving them alone for a while, that is the quickest way to acclimate them as they are high stress animals. (: However, we did start bringing them to the vet after a week since we knew they were loaded with worms.

Leafy-greens started to eat within the first week, and Leafy-trees started eating right out of the box.

We don't pick them up or otherwise bother them, only to check up on them, bring them food or bring them to the vet.

They do have distinctive personalities, Leafy-trees is more bold and is a real fighter when he is picked up (which is seldom - only when necessary). Leafy-greens is a real climber and has systematically destroyed every plant in his enclosure and dug up all his grass.

Our two will be introduced to one another in a week or so...should be interesting.

: If they have good weight and look relatively healthy, I'd suggest you let them settle into their new surroundings before taking them to the vet. The conditions Christine described sound great. I found the quickest way to acclimate them is to leave them alone. After they do acclimate they tend to be very gregarious. If they are adults I can just about guarentee they are wild caught. Once you get them to take food it will be easier to worm/deparasitise them. I can't see how you can do it otherwise without sedating them.
: Good luck with them. I heard there was a good number of the Golden Greaca there also. (at the show)
