: I've got 2 Russians, both males (according to the vet). One is about 440 grams, the other is 350 (the pet store picked them based on my request for "same sized" ones). I asked the vet if their size difference could lead to physical "bullying" and she said "no." Last night, though, the bigger one opened its mouth and chomped at the smaller one (who knew what was going on and tucked up, leading to the big one's just nipping the lower shell edge). Has anyone out there had a similar problem, and is there any way to deal with it short of separation? Am I over-reacting, and is the smaller guy not truly in danger(he has no showing of any injury)?
I have two russions and they used to try to bite each other all the time until I put them in a larger enclosure. Now they seem like best buddies...the even sleep under the same log at night. Enjoy!!!
