Owning Galapagos in Calif

Hi there everyone,

I'm a bit confused as to the laws of owning Gallops in CA. I've been told by different people different things about needing a permit. Do you need a permit to own one in CA or do you need a permit to have one shipped to CA? Prehistoric Pets sells Gallops without needing a permit. Is this a legal practice? My wife and I are interested in raising a Gallop from a young age, but we want to be clear on the law before we seek out a breeder. Also, can anyone suggest a reputable Gallop breeder?
