My tank was custom made, but its big, about 4 feet long by 2 feet deep for a tiny 2.5 inch tortiose! He's got 3 hiding sopts, one corner of slowly rising rocks so he can climb the mountain without putting himself at too much of an angle so he doesnt fall, sloping calcium sand, water dish, and feeding area (where he knows to wait by until i get his breakfast ready!! he's there every morning when i wake up, the little pig)
: i have him in a 20 gallon long terrarium with a water dish and a hide box. i used to have a log house but whenever he climbed on it he would end up on his back upside down till i came home. (for hours!!) is there anything i can give him so he wont get hurt or climb on and get turned upside down?
: : : i have a baby sulcata and he seems really bored. the only time he seems active is when i give him food. i give him about 2 cups of greens a day. one in the morning and one at night. he comes out to eat then goes right back in the corner and sleeps. should he be more active?? any suggestions??
: : How big is his pen? Give him some things to climb on/over, barricades, things to crawl under, a few safe plants to nibble on, anything to give him some variety. Also mix up the arrangement of the obstacles often, it will keep him interested. Also be sure he has the correct temperature gradient to keep him active.
