Mine is mounted overhead on chains attached to ceiling hooks so the basking distance can be adjusted. Consider protecting the panels if mounted on the side of the house as they could be easily damaged by sulcatas. I ordered two of these for my 4 x 7 ID tortoise house but so far a single panel has maintained the desired temperature on nights in the upper twenties (I built the tortoise house with R-20 insulation all around). So far I really like this product. Purchased from Pondside herp Supplies but Bean Farm also has good prices on these.

I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions, websites, brands, etc. on a heating panel that has worked for them. I have a few links but would really like to get some testimonials regarding a few that have been used in the field.
