: my hingeback tortoise is acting strange
: she doesn't seem to have much use of her front legs
: the back ones work and she can propel herself by sliding her front along
: she has good body weight, a good appetite, and shows no signs of dehydration (eyes shiny, clear and moist), she isn't breathing funny, there are no injuries showing
: and her front legs do not feel broken.
: she doesn't yank them back as if in pain if i (lightly) tug them
: i've moved the animal indoors to observe
: she's had a predominately vegetable diet for the past few months, aside from bugs she might be catching in the yard, could this be a protein deficiency, tomorrow i planned to throw her a couple of pinks.
: any advice would be greatly appreciated
: thanks sedg
