my hingeback tortoise is acting strange
she doesn't seem to have much use of her front legs
the back ones work and she can propel herself by sliding her front along
she has good body weight, a good appetite, and shows no signs of dehydration (eyes shiny, clear and moist), she isn't breathing funny, there are no injuries showing
and her front legs do not feel broken.
she doesn't yank them back as if in pain if i (lightly) tug them
i've moved the animal indoors to observe
she's had a predominately vegetable diet for the past few months, aside from bugs she might be catching in the yard, could this be a protein deficiency, tomorrow i planned to throw her a couple of pinks.
any advice would be greatly appreciated
thanks sedg
