In Reply to: Sulcata growth rate..... posted by AR on September 21, 2001 at 18:57:49:
I adopted my sulcata when he was larger than your baby...but I have been amazed at the growth spurts he has. Seems like he stays exactly the same size for a while and then suddenly you can almost see him growing! Sometimes I wish he wouldn't grow so fast...and then other times I can't wait until he gets bigger....
My uneducated guess is that the growth you've noticed is maybe your baby's first big growth spurt? If he's like my sulcata...it'll be first of many. :-)

: I posted here in June regarding my sulcata's growth. I was concerned that it wasn't growing fast enough. I bought it as a hatchling last summer. In june I weighed it and it weighed 3 1/4 ounces. I weighed it a few times again, and it gained a little weight. I weighed it again today, and it weighs 7 ounces. Here is a pic of it that I took today. I will post a pic from June later. Is that normal for all of the sudden start growing rapidly? What do you guys think about the growth rate?
: Thanks in advance
