Could be, most of the folks with highly pyramided sulcatas are overfeeding and undercaring though. Don't forget EJ, you are providing optimal climate and environment for your tortoises with outdoor time and natural sunlight, and probably a majority graze diet, so your success may not work for the average Joe (or Josette). In fact, I might have more experience than even you with the indoor northeast fishtank tortoise, so my opinions are based on what I see...and believe me, I see alot. You would have cried if you saw this sulcata I saw at the last herp show...it was heartbreaking...looked like a grenade, so severely pyramided, and flat in the center and deformed gulars...someone bought it and we tried to help them with care info...but this tortoise will not live a long and healthy life I think he was for lack of a better word ruined by keepers that either didn't know or didn't care. I may seem more opinionated in my posts and I do know that there are other good ways of keeping as well...but I just personally would rather err on the side of caution when it comes to these creatures we love and try to help.

:)
