I disagree, respectfully. I think fishtanks are pretty poor enclosure types for tortoises...and the reason they MAY have been used successfully is because they were used by highly experienced keepers with experience maintaining temps in a tank that size.
People have been doing alot of things for over a 100 years, doesn't mean that is what we would recommend when people are asking for advice...

: There is absolutely nothing WRONG with using fishtanks. Some care must be exercised and there are more suitable containers but fishtanks can be use with just as much success as any other container.
