Aquariums are unsuitable enclosures for tortoises IMHO. It is very easy to overheat your tortoise in a fishtank, and there is no cross-ventilation. Also, it's too small. I know you have been posting and reading posts for a while...have you read any of the websites you have been sent to??? None of them that I know recommend using a fishtank for housing...
