Hi Everyone,
My wife has always been attracted to baby tortoises we see at our local pet store. Unfortunately they are always sulcata, too big for me. I have been keeping box turtles for almost 20 years (be sure to look at their pictures at the link below) yet have always been attracted to tortoises as well. Next week I am expecting my very first to arrive, a 1.5 month old captive born Hermann's. I plan on keeping her indoors in a 2 X 2.5 foot enclosure with heat lamp, Reptisun 5.0 flourescent, small water saucer, hide box, and newspaper as substrate. Does this sound like a good set up to you? If anyone has advice on anything I can do better, I would appreciate it. If you have pictures you could share of your set up, that would be great too. Also what would be a good temperature for the hatchling in the warmer part of the enclosure. Thanks for your help.
Patrick
