Hey,
Just so that you know for any future attack paranoia, I don't post on the field collecting forum. I tried and tried to get on last night but no use.
I hope that you and your families are ok after today's events. I'm still in shock. My tortoises had a good day, however, mommy coming home from work early and all after the evacuation. They played and played outside in the sun and hardly noticed the armed fighter jets flying overhead. . . .
I am a little afraid of going into work today, but it had to be done. We can't as a nation allow ourselves to be crippled by this. In case you are all do that also and are online, I'll be checking my AOL account frequently throughout the day.
Our whole lives are about to change. I'm glad we all got the opportunity to travel to when we did, worry-free and without armed guards on every plane. I got very worried tonight and wrote Thomas, my future son, a letter apologizing for the world in which he's to be born. I am still filled with incredulousness and horror.
I want to thank you for all of your support. I'm about to be working in a completely different atmosphere. For those of you who know, I have moved from NYC to DC and from fashion to Defense Contracting. My office was a mile away from the Pentagon yesterday, and had to be evacuated. Something tells me that defense related projects on which I work are no longer going to be relaxed and bottom priority.
I'm sure you will all also be very busy. Be prepared for anything. There will most likely be many hate-crimes committed by ignorant people who are frustrated and scared and looking for scapegoats.
I have to go now, since our day began super super early.
Love to everyone and their chelonian friends,
Esther, Chanel and Angel Baby Albrecht
