NEVER/EVER put any kind of animal or reptile outdoors in a tank or rubbermaid or any small enclosure/cage.Unless the tank etc is on a covered patio that offers plenty of protection from the elements.
Such a small, enclosed container can overheat in a matter of minutes, killing any tortoise/reptile/animal in it.Can you imagine being in a greenhouse in the hot sun, with nowhere to escape to?
I would compare it to leaving an animal or baby in a car on a hot day, very ill advised.
Build a proper outdoor enclosure. One that offers plenty of shelter/shade from the sun/heat and protection from the rain/cold.
Terry.
