The price can really vary from $300 to $1,000. African Spurred Tortoises are not imported, therefore it is sometimes difficult to locate a large adult for sale.

I see people post that many are put up for adoption, but generally to get a "good" tortoise will require payment. Some people are willing to sell surplus males so their price is much lower than for breeding size females. Good luck.
