: hi, i have an testudo kleinmanni....when it "poops" and/or "pee's"
: i have noticed something new. this pinkish type of thing comes out of its tail, and its huge! its about 1/2 the size of it.
: it kinda looks like its in labor, but its not! i only have one anyways... can anyone tell me what that "thing" is??????
: is it normal????? should i take it to a vet????
: jimmy
: ps-i don't know if it is a m/f

My males do this occasionally when soaked in warm water. It doesn't hurt them as long as it goes back inside after they are done soaking. If it stays out of the tail for long periods of time it can dry out and should be taken to a vet.

If you have anymore kleinmanni questions or want to chat about them email me sometime.

Take care,
