Hi all,
Many of you have seen my post a few back about Egyptian tortoises.... but I'm also open to other options
Basically I'd like to get a small tortoise, where the adult size is under 10"
I think this includes: Greek, Hermans, Russian, Egyptian... any I am missing?
I live in Massachusetts, so we have cold winters, warm sometimes hot and humid summers, but moderate weather otherwise.
Which of these small guys would be best in this climate, as well as with other factors... feeding, personality, general care.
Any recommendations or thoughts would be great. I'm planning on getting a hatchling or juvenile, so adult size wouldnt be an issue as of yet, but I dont want to just have to get rid of it after a few years, I want one I will keep as an adult. So far I know of local sources for hermans and egyptian, but I'm sure the other 2 wouldnt be too difficult to find.
Thanks
