: You're looking at getting "some" ??? The economy must be good up in Taxachusetts! -I'm kidding, I lived at Ft. Devens, as an Army brat, about 15 years ago. Seriously, these are expensive little buggers, as I'm sure you know by now.
: I live on Long Island in NY, so humidity we've got! It doesn't seem to trouble my guy. I wouldn't anticipate any problems for captive breds who come from your neck of the woods. Again, a wild caught would definitely face a bigger challenge. The extreme (anything over 80F) heat does cause him to hole up and cease activity. Egyptians are well known for this. His favorite time to graze is evening. He'll snack a little in the A.M. but usually go right down for a nap. In the evening hours though, he'll stroll around and munch up a storm.
Ok this is all good to know... Life isnt THAT good in taxachussetts, but I'm doing ok, and yes I know they are expensive... at most I might get 2, but 1 would be good for a start. I have likelyl sources in CT and RI, both within an easy drive. I'll be checking one out tomorrow, still need to hear back from the other.. who knows, they may be from the same stock.
