: whole prize sulcata thing. All I know is that it has a rosette with a big brass button in the middle, with two long tails streaming out that say "NYTTS Show" Blue Ribbon. Is that good or bad? I also won a huge thing of tortoise chow, which I will never ever use. Let me know, O Queen of Competitive husbandry!

At regular dog shows you usually just get a 25c strip ribbon. At specialties they usually give out rosettes, the bigger, the better. I have tons of them and hoard them like they are gold. I'll attach a photo of me from the American Rottweiler Club National Specialty this past May. Notice the, first, adorable dogs - Viktor and Justus, the pink rosette, the two pink medallions the dogs are wearing, the embroidered towel, the Armetale pewter plate, and two pedigree certificates. They could have handed you a dinky strip of flat ribbon, but you got a lovely, large rosette. You should be beaming. Next thing you know, you'll be winning a trophy and will have to by a $200 cabinet to put it in!
