I'm pretty sure all the ones in pet shops around here are wc. They are adult and some are pretty battle scared. There are no box turtles native to this area as far as I know.

: I'm in the DFW metro area. Three-toed's are very very common here (tx), especially in the forest and prairie areas. Mine are all 3-toeds. I don't have any easterns and have never seen any that I know of. The pet shops around here don't sell anything but torts. I could probably find some wild caught in east texas at some bait shops though.....I'd just prefer to get a really healthy one that has either been captive a long, long time or a captive bred adult.
