Hi all, I am having trouble with my 2 adopted Sulcata's pyramided shells.I was told that they were 2 or 3 years when they were given to me.For that entire time the only light that they had was heat, and their diet was corn, romaine lettuce, and bean sprouts. Not to mention they were in a tank and very unhappy.Their shells were'nt soft, but they did flex when they were affraid.I have had them for 3 years now,and they are slowly getting bigger around and in length. The pyramiding is very high, but seems to be the same as when I got them.I have the proper UVB & UVA lights, good diet, and sunshine in the summer.Their shells no longer flex at all,but I can't seem to help the pyramiding.Does anyone have any idea if they will ever look half normal? I know they will never be right, but I thought after 3 years I'd see a tiny bit of change.Peewee is about 9" and Bubba is 12" I have pix at http://photos.yahoo.com/tortsluvrlisa if it works. any comments are welcome. So if anyone feels bad about their slight pyramiding take a look, and you will feel much better.
Thanks a bunch
Lisa
