Although there is no such thing as a "hypo" turtle or tortoise, you are correct in them being wild cuaght. "hypo" is used to sell them fast and is a gimmic. They are what pewople are calling "Syrian" tortoieses now. I have a pair and they are very neat. i bought mine from Amazon Reptile who advertises on kingsnake.com. They shoudl be treated by a vet for worms and parasaites because of their wild caught status. mine were loaded with worms.
