Here's something that might make you feel better...my juvenile sulcata sleeps like Buddah...he stretches his back legs out until they look like two pieces of cooked elbow macaroni..then spreads his front legs all the way over and his head comes usually all the way out to lay on the ground or nestle on top of the substrate. Sometimes he sleeps with his head flush to the edge of his carapace opening, but not usually...and never sleeps with it all the way in.
