I do not advocate wc animals . And 95% of my collection is Captive bred . Now as for Herp welfare . Did you not see this in the title of my response or did you choose to ignore this?? It is not just herp laws that we are addressing . Herp welfare is important .If you look real well at the law foum you will see this discussed several times . But I do thnk the State of New York is going about things the wrong way .

The good ol USA as you say is supposed to be by the people for the people it would seem in thier rush to totally ban our hobby That several states have forgot that . Orgs like PETA ,the HSUS and API,and ASPCA will never get mine and many other herpers support . Because of the way they act and not talking to the herping community at large has gotten my utter contemp . Also I do happen to own a red tail boa . be a cold day in you know where
before I give him or any of my herps up .
