No water available, but do you ever soak him?
If not start today.
Soak him every other day for around 10-15 minutes.
Soak him in very shallow, lukewarm (not hot) water.
The water should only reach the very bottom of his neck.
Or where the top shell meets the bottom shell.
He must be able to sit comfortably in the water, with his head fully out of the water.
The water should only just cover his tail.
A rubbermaid with no substrate is no good, too slippery for him and not comfortable.
You need to use a substrate of some sort.
You can put a towel in the rubbermaid, a small towel that doesn't have long threads.
But start soaking today then soak every other day, for 10-15 minutes a day.
Today soak him for 15-20 minutes or until he poops. Not longer than 30 minutes though.
But don't let the water get too cool, replace it every 5 minutes with baby bath warm water.
Let us know if he poops in the water, or passes urates (the white stuff) or both.
After his soak offer him his greens and dandelion.
And put a towel in his rubbermaid, a small one with short threads so he doesn't get his claws caught.
I would also have a water dish in the rubbermaid always,(as well as soaking every other day) something like the top off a Sunny Delight container. Small and shallow, easy to drink from.
Let us know how it goes.
Terry.
